WARNING please do not read farther than this if you are not comfortable with violance, blood, and strong language/mature stuff. Do not blame me if you didn't listen to the warning and read ahead. If you have any questions, let me know. Please also message me or catch me in the cbox if you wish to join with one of you characters and the reason why. ALSO, this has nothing against the church or any of its people...this is just how Zimri is.
It was around midnight…maybe even before that… Either way, it didn’t seem that either one of us really cared too much about it. I place my hand lightly on her back with a full smirk on my lips as she gave me a worried look. Sure we were in a hotel room and all…and this wasn’t even my hotel…but still. The room was only lit with a candle in the corner and the dark brown walls made it feel even more warm. Along with all of this, the bed was comfortable enough for even me to relax. The young lady – that I randomly picked off the streets – sighed and relaxed to my touch as well. It was such a pity that her pretty little face wouldn’t be seen again. I could tell that she was thinking something else from what was going to happen…but no worries. I’ll be careful and even the memory of her ever meeting me would also disappear from her mind. Maybe I should even grace her with the lord’s name like those Roman Catholic vampires that still roam around here. I snickered lightly as I moved closer to her as she sat at the edge of the bed…of course, I was behind her. Slipping myself under her, I had her sitting on my lap with her neck inches away from my fangs. Her heart beating so loud that I could hear it without even trying…her rich red blood flowing as my fangs pierced that fine neck of hers. Like any human, she tried to get away from me, but I held her tight just long enough to get a good meal out of her. Poor her…I pity her for liking vampires…but it is true, I’m no vampire… Just a simple dhampir.
After that she was out like a light and I had given her the medicine in which she wouldn’t even remember what happened this night. The healing water I got from Pops also did its wonders on the bite mark that had been there. Licking the rest of the red blood off my lips before setting the extra room key on the nightstand and walking out the door…making sure the room was nice and locked, I glared at the counter girl – that was seriously starting to creep me out – as I walked out of the high class hotel. Of course, this hotel looked like trash compared to my own hotel…but whatever. Worth paying for if it gave me a lovely meal. Blood was no longer on my mind as I continued on my way to a small coffee place. Sure, I just finished a meal, but truly…the taste of blood wasn’t my favorite. The nice scent of a vanilla favored cup of coffee was all I needed. After entering the place, I ordering my usual vanilla coffee with a nice small slice of chocolate cake. This scent was the best and even with all of that blood in my stomach, I ate through the chocolate cake in a matter of minutes (I’m a slow eater you see). Some nice jazz music played in the background while I sipped on the coffee. The worker dimmed the light a bit for the couple sitting across the room from myself. I shook my head in disgust and sighed lightly… Let’s just hope I don’t have to deal with any troublesome guests, yes?

The soft jazz music helped calmed my nerves a little as I came out of the single bathroom. I never enjoyed taking my medication, especially in public. I haven’t even told Saxon, my roommate, that I have to take daily medication. I guess I’m just afraid to admit the truth… the truth that I’ll lose touch with reality some day soon… I let out a sigh and dimmed the lights without thinking. I headed to the counter when two of my co-workers (both girls) were whispering to each other and giggling… I took my place behind the counter, trying to ignore their chattering nonsense… In the truth I was a little jealous… Unable to be a normal girl… I was in the guy’s dress code. The corner of my lips fell downward into a frown, I was growing bore of the two girl’s conversation and annoyed that I could hear most of the words and that they weren’t doing their jobs.
“Shouldn’t you two girls being working, not gossiping?” I stated, but more harshly then I intended it to be. The two girls stop talking and stared at me dumbfound. I got a better look at them… One was silver blond (which I’m tempting to say that it was dyed and it was a poorly done job) named Sandra and the other was a brunette with blond streaks named Torry. I raised an eyebrow with a questioning look. “What?” I asked in annoyance.
“Like oh my god, you’re talking to like us?” Torry squealed with Sandra jumping a little. I winced at the high-pitched voice and frowned again. I never like talking to these two girls for that reason.
“Yes I am and I’m telling you to get back to work!” I spoke again, hoping they would hear my order. I wasn’t in the mood to deal with them tonight nor any other nights as well. Then I turned around back to my job when someone caught my eyes. He was sitting down with a drink in his hand… Something seemed wrong with him. I decided to walkover to him with my normal fake smile I wore for work. “Is there a problem Sir?” I asked with a fake cheerful tone that sickened me.

There was only one problem with being known as the "Local Stray," everyone knew you. And seeing as Kai lacked both a job and a family; besides the other stray and alley cats, it meant you either hunted, got handouts, or stole. Lately she'd been hunting alot, and sure you can go on alley mice and rats. But after while they just sorta taste bland and unappetizing; of course if this didn't work, that'd be what the caro would be eating. Getting handouts hadn't worked either; damn stingy humans, can't even give a scrap to a cute bob-tailed. So, what was left to do, steal. Kai was never to happy to do that, sure she'd crash parties and eat their food, but that wasn't stealing.
So far, so good, she thought with a smile. Humans have such weak senses, they can't even notice when one of there own is sneaking about. She was originally going to go for something small, like pastry or two. Unfortunately, her olive-toned eyes spotted the cake, but not some ordinary cake, no. This one was topped with whip cream, her one, true weakness. I really shouldn't... Oh, what the hell. Right as her fingers wrapped around the plate that held the precious dish; the cooks caught on. "Hoy, what do you think your doing, you little thief?!" Crap, just my luck! Quickly she dropped the plate and tried to make a dash for it; with any luck she could out run the two chiefs. Well, luck obviously wasn't on her side today; in her hast she didn't see the pile of pots and pans.
A loud crash was heard from outside the kitchen, then the double door opened slightly and closed. "Hehe, suckers," she whispered as she crawled behind the counter; just out of sight for any wondering eye. Now what to do? It would take long for the two idiots to figure out she ditched them, and with the exit blocked, they'd soon realize she came out here. After a few seconds of thinking, an idea came to her; slowly she peaked over the counter. Almost everyone was distracted by something else, yes this would be perfect. "Grr, that little shit ditched us." Kai had to act fast, the two idiots were on to her. With un-human like speed, she placed herself close to the bathrooms and acted like she'd just came from one. Now I just need a-- Purrfect; her gaze landed on a rather odd person. In these situation, the more odd, i.e. scary-like person you find, the better. With fluid motion she casually made her way toward the table that Zimri had claimed.
Ah, shit, her thoughts rang, as one of the workers approached the guy. She was out of time, the two cooks swung the doors open their eyes searching for her. Without thinking Kai pulled out a chair and sat across from Zimri; "Please just let me chill here for a bit." Her voice was only loud enough for him to hear, "Please, I rather not be kicked out onto the streets yet."

It starts in my toes, makes me wrinkle my nose. She tilted her head from side to side, green eyes dancing as she admired the subtle streaks of deep honey-blonde now accenting her dark brunette hair. A dainty hand ran through the length of it before a single, quiet giggle passed her smiling lips. Her hair had grown enough to fall an inch past her shoulders, and with the regained length she'd felt a slight change in color was called for. She pinned back the strands framing her face with bobby pins, tucking the hair behind her ears as she bounced out of the hairdresser's chair, flinging her arms around the startled woman and squeaking an elated than you before walking lightly out, stopping halfway out the door to turn and wave energetically towards the unamused salon receptionist before she stepped out into the street. The street lamps glowed in the midnight blackness, a cheery sigh filling the fairly silent atmosphere as the figure in cuffed jeans and a flowy baby doll top glanced at the town square clock. She hadn't meant to be out so late, but she'd been working a double shift that day and hadn't been able to get away until it was already ten at night. She smiled as the loose waves of her hair brushed against her cheeks in the breeze, and she decided that going immediately home and sleeping on it would be rude after the time taken to style it. Plus, it wasn't often she happened to be dressed cutely and all made up. After too long as a boy and then switching to days behind a counter in a frumpy apron at six in the morning, she had the slightest want to be seen.
Her interest was caught by the inviting neon sign above a small coffee shop, the powdery blue letters sending off a faint glow as Isolde crossed the street, pushing against the glass door and smiling at the comfortable atmosphere inside. Quiet music filled her ears and she couldn't help but sashay in time as she stepped farther from the door, her emerald gaze alighting upon a familiar face as her lips parted in a shining smile. Yoshi! Heyy! Her sunny voice seemed amplified by the quiet surrounding her as the young girl practically bounced over to Yoshi, greeting him with a tight hug. Are these your friends? she inquired curiously as she withdrew herself from Yoshi, green eyes flitting in a friendly manner towards the pale-haired stranger and a girl that looked a bit younger than her sitting before Isi in deep-cushioned chairs. Without waiting for an answer, she turned to the two strangers, looking from one to the other as she introduced herself. Hey! I'm Isolde Greyton, she offered brightly, tipping forward to peer in the seated man's coffee cup. What did you get, if you don't mind me asking? It smells really good! She hadn't realized she was hungry at all until she'd entered the small shop and been bombarded by tempting treats from every direction. You make me smile, please stay for a while. Notes: Sorry about this.. It's terrible. But it's done! Lol. I didn't want to make anyone wait <3

“Is there a problem Sir?”
Gripping the end of the table with his nails, he turned upward toward the guy standing there who asked him a question. Zimri narrowed his eyes, scowled a bit, but shook it off…someone talking to him was a bit new, but that didn’t matter. He glanced down at his coffee and then glanced up at the guy again…if he was standing – Zimri that is – he’d probably taller than this one. Either way – so far – he wasn’t very ‘happy’ with someone interrupting his late night trip. “No, but do you want a problem?” His voice was harsh and – of course – cold like always. Humans and all other damned creatures out there just got on his nerves to the point where he always wanted to kill someone…but Zimri tried to keep his temper in check ‘cause he doesn’t need all of the vampires after him as well. He’s lucky enough that he owns such a high class hotel like the Pale Violet Lounge. Glaring at the waiter who dared to start to get on his nerves, he took a deep breath and shook his head again…taking a slip out of his coffee…
"Please, I rather not be kicked out onto the streets yet."
What the hell?! Was this a get on Zimri’s freaking nerves café? Snorting, he stared at the girl who took a seat across from him…hoping that he’d let her stay there because it seemed that the chefs were after her. The dhampir glanced back and forth between the waiter and the girl before slamming his fists on the table. He felt the red oak table shake a bit, but Zimri didn’t pay too much attention to that. A frown placed on his face…annoyance ringing in his ears…and his impatient temper was starting to get the better of him. “Just shut up and order something…I’m not paying either…so good luck with that…lady…” His voice was his normal, cold tone and it didn’t rise that much but a bit. This is where he should be able to relax…yet his temper is just climbing up faster than it should. Taking another deep breath, he tried to remind himself that these ‘people’ are just ‘humans(1)’. It wouldn’t be very nice if he decided to lose his temper and flare out the guns in his back pocket…now would it?
“Are these your friends?”
To Zimri’s horror…yet another random stranger came up to say hi to the waiter… But her question just hit the boiling point for him. “Friends?! Oh sure and I’m the freaking king of wonderland!” Rolling his eyes, the dhampir stood up and grabbed the cup of his coffee before flinging the cup across the room just show it’d break on the brick and shower one not-so-lucky person with whatever was left of his coffee…and glass… “Oh…why don’t you ask that person over there what kind it was? I’m sure they know by now.” He was all frowns by the hundreds… Glancing over at the waiter, Zimri glared once again and pulled out his wallet…handing the guy a fifty for the cup he broke. Sure, that’s too much…but at this moment, he didn’t give a shit about that.
notes: sorry for the wait...and Zimri's temper. >.< No offence to you guys or your characters! I love you all and them. <3 (Zimri is a good way of getting thee anger out. lol. xD)
(1) I know Kai is a caro, but Zimri doesn't. ^-^ listening to: burn it to the ground by nickelback, if today was your last day by nickelback
