End this chapter, and start another. In the Book of Life.

The hollow sound echoed around the library until it grew faint and disapeared...

Another book falls, and lands on top of the one that fell before...

"This isn't the one I wanted either."

After discovering that this massive place had a library, and a rather decent one; Nekura could be found here when she wasn't working. Her fingers ran along the long row of books before plucking one out, and seeing as it wasn't the one she was after; dropped it to the floor on top of the previous 'rejects.' A rather large pile had started to grow as she skimmed through the titles, searching for the book she had started the day before. I thought I placed it somewhere around here... Unless someone came and put it back in its right place. With a low sigh, she jumped off of the book self, It must be over here then; slowly she cross to the other side of the room and look up at the large book self. It has to be at the top, instead of using the very convenient ladder, she took it upon herself to climb the book self. Once at the top, it didn't take her but a few minutes to find the book she sought after; The Sight.
With the book in hand, she leap off of the shelf and made her way to one of the chairs. Nekura had discovered this little novel as she was just skimming around yesterday. But sadly, she was only able to put away two chapters before she had to go and work. As she sank down into the chair, she opened the book to where she had left off; chapter 3: Hunters. 'The courtyard of a vast, ruined castle, from whose tall, black windows came no ray of light, and whose broken battlements showed a jagged line against the sky.' --Bram Stoker, Dracula. It was summer proper and so hot that even the trees seemed to sweat... It didn't take long for her mind to wrap around the story, pulling her deeper and deeper within it. She really didn't know when she had learned to read; most likely it was in a memory taken from her, but she was glad she could. For awhile, Nekura could just escape the world and just concentrate at what was being played out on paper.
The sun moved slowly as an hour passed; but time had lost meaning once a book was opened and it had succeeded in capturing your attention. The plot that had been unfolded to her was not what she had expected; So much death... her mind echoed as each pack member succumbed to the over powering legend. Nekura usually avoided books like this, but she was far too into the novel to set it down unfinished. Another hour slipped by and she was finally upon the last few pages; "No, it can't be..." A couple more pages and it was at an end; her red hued eyes narrowed slightly as she closed the book. "'...because to really love one another, first the wolves must see. They must understand suffering. That's why the stories say Tor sent Sita down to the world. Because of love.'" there was contempt in her voice as she repeated one of Larka's last thoughts.
