It was already his birthday…it was already Valentine’s Day in a flash of minutes it seemed. The prince had only a second of sleep before getting up to get ready for his semi-birthday party, partly the Valentine’s Day ball that Crowned Clown Manor decided to host. Leiv seriously wasn’t interested in the party anyway…he’d rather have some party with Abe and the gang… He frowned as he shook his head simply wondering if he should dress rebelliously or not. But, he’d deal with it for now…plus his people could take it as disrespect. Leiv shook his head again and tied the redish-brown tie around his neck while he slipped the green tux over his white show shirt. Tipping his head to the side, he nodded his head and buttoned a few buttons before glancing into the mirror. He twitched and sighed, moving across his room to go down to meet his guests. Bored out of his mind, the prince left the house and moved down close to the fountain. Leiv smiled slightly as a few of the guests looked up. Oh how he wished he would just leave and take to the skies in his true form. He questioned the look one of the guests was giving him, but he just shrugged his shoulders and gave them a nice fake smile from his lips. “Greetings.”

Oh, so this be the prince's place that I've heard about...
For the past few days, every time Kai ventured into the town(mostly to be cute and get free food) she'd hear the humans talking on and on about this prince and his palace party. The only reason her cat ears were listening was because some people would mention food, free, food. And if you didn't have a job, free was the best word in the whole dictionary, but she only had one teeny, weenie, problem. She didn't own anything formal, hell, she didn't own anything accept what she carried in her pockets. That might of discouraged some humans, but for a shape-shifter, it wasn't that much of a deal. All she had to do was sneak in; that couldn't be too hard, could it?
Well, it was proving to be for this little cat. This place was so big and had so many interesting places; she just had to poke her nose into very little crevice and corner. And every time she headed for the direction of the sweet smelling food; something would catch her eye and she had to go and investigate it. But after a few minutes of poking the object with a slender paw; she'd grow bored and head off for the food smell once more. The Japanese bobtail did notice one thing; the closer she got to the food smell, the more people appeared. At one point Kai had to cling to the underside of a table so not to be seen. They would probably notice the claw marks a few days from now; not that she cared.
Crap! Crap! Crap! Shit! Like a white streak, Kai dodged between the people's legs, trying not to get stepped on. I'll be lucky to get to the food without losing one of my nine lives! She slipped around a corner and was hit by a wave of fresh air, huh? I'm outside.... Sweet. And the scent is strongest around here. Quickly she flicked her head around, looking for the treasure trove of sweet treats, but at the sound of foot steps, she had to forget her search and dive into a hiding place. Which happened to be under a wooden bench. Grr, stupid human, she thought, flicking her bobbed tail in frustration. Oh, it was such a painful wait. The person seemed to take forever to move out of her way.
Come on! Come on! Her stomach growled softly, protesting to the wait as well. Forget this, as soon as its back was turned; Kai made a mad dash for it. Heading right for the table of goodies. And forgetting all of her pre-caution; jumped right on top of it, scattering some plates to the ground. "Oops... Oh well," she said, looking down at the broken plates. With a purr, she turned her full attention to the task at hand, err, paw; what was she going to eat first? Or more likely, stuff down her throat. All of the food looked so good, it was hard to choose, but eventually she came to a decision. Its... Its... Kai couldn't believe it, it was: "ICE CREAM!" Forget small bites, she practically dove into the dessert.

And show me where you run to He made his way down the festively-decorated double staircase, managing to tear off a few sickeningly happy, pink-colored banister streamers as he took the stairs two at a time, grimacing at the breathing sea of formally-clad guests already flooding the manor's bottom floor. The dress code specifically called for tuxedos, but getting Jarred to put on any more than a neon tee and worn jeans was a stretch in itself. Regardless, he'd met the party's requests at the midpoint and ended up blending into the jumble of people wearing his black converse shoes, dark charcoal slacks and open dress jacket, a lime green button-down shirt, and a loosely configured black skinny tie that hung limply around his neck. Already he'd begun to receive a number of disapproving glances at his halfway choice in attire, rolling his eyes from behind his aviators as he pushed none too politely through the crowd, plucking a deep red carnation from a man's tuxedo pocket as he passed and placing it on himself. He plunged his left hand deep into his pocket, fingers closing almost protectively over the small, wrapped box in it's depths as he reached the sprawling refreshments table, raising a pierced eyebrow at the calico bobtail helping herself to the desserts. That'd be easier if you went at it with thumbs.. he commented, raising the hand not lodged in his pocket and wiggling it slightly to accentuate his statement before reaching over the cat to grab a far too intricately crafted hours d'ourve.
He turned his back on the calico with no further words, face set into an unamused line as he threaded his way further into the crowd, ice blue eyes anchored on the small form in forest green. Nice tux, squirt, he murmured into Leiv's ear, bending over so that his chin was almost touching the boy's shoulder as a humored grin began to appear across his face. He hated stuffy parties, especially when three fourths of the people there were only in it for the feeling of being one of the elite for a night. If it hadn't been Leiv's birthday, he was fully intent upon sabotaging the soiree. But that wasn't in the plans for him now, and luckily finding Leiv seemed to make the whole thing a bit less unbearable for him. Not to drag you away from such a killer party, but d'you have a second? I.. He shrugged, jabbing a thumb over his shoulder towards the seemingly vacant garden gazebo with a question across his features. He wasn't the giving type, and though he wanted to present Leiv with his birthday present, he wasn't about to let all the fancified freeloaders surrounding them have free access like onlookers at a museum.

So I'm insane The soft cries of violins reached Hyde’s ears as he reaches the manor. He stop for a moment to take another drag from the cigarette that was between his lips before letting the cigarette fall to the ground. Then he walked over the cigarette without second thought. So it’s the prince’s party? The childish voice asked. Yes, why did you think I dressed up tonight? Hyde mused. He wore a black western style tux suit, a white dress shirt with a thin red tie loosely around the collar under a black suit jacket that was close with only one button which fell bellowed the waist and a pair of black slacks with a pair of classy leather shoes and his hair held by a white ribbon. There was a white rose pocketed in Hyde’s left breast pocket and a silver pocket watch in the right pocket of his jacket. Dunno, but you would look better with your hair down. The voice stated. Hyde chuckled as he pass through the gates and into the manor. Oh, so you’re my fashion adviser now? He teased, when he spot Leiv... With Jarred. Hyde’s smile falter for a moment, but just for a moment. Someone’s jealous. The voice sang. Hyde frown and muttered out loud, “No I’m not jealous.” Then walks over the food table… Remind me, why did you skip lunch? The voice asked. Can’t comment on that. Hyde saw a calico bobtail helping herself to the ice cream and chuckled. He went over and pick up a plate of random small tidbits then picked up the calico bobtail, not really caring if he gets scratch. “My, my, look what we have here.” Hyde state teasingly. “Now are you going to save any of the ice cream for the others, Miss. Party Crasher?” Who cares? For: Kai Notes: Sorry for my lateness. Muse for Hyde ran away, but came back

For Jarred.
the belldrums ring, as the plead is set on sing, Boredom struck his face, but it was all too soon before the face changed to amusement as his sage green eyes landed on an amusing bobtailed calico. Diving into the ice cream wasn’t such a bad idea! It was too warm in his heavy suit…having it on was such a pain in the butt… Though, the prince kept a straight line on his lips most of the time. You had to smile at the ‘lovely’ old ladies who just came out of know where to bow and ask to mess with his curly black hair. Giving an respectful ‘please don’t, thanks’ to every old lady who asked, Leiv stopped just to watch the calico cat who even threw some of the lovely plates right off the table. A frown of disapproval locked down in both his mouth and his eyes… “Dear, don’t waste food… Better eat it all up from the floor too, no?” Whispering loud enough for those creatures to hear, but not loud enough for any human, Leiv smirked. It was just a simple joke from the prince, but he wasn’t truly that mean. Nodding apologetic just in case the feline too it seriously, he stared around him that seems to trap him in a bubble…but that bubble moved with every step he took. In Leiv’s bubble…no one even dared to step in to greet the prince. No, they were too afraid that something would happen and they’d no longer have their heads.
Most people would have jumped, but the prince relaxed right away when he heard Jarred’s voice. Many of the elders stared in shock that the bodyguard would show such disrespect to the prince…but a smile lit on Leiv’s face. The bodyguard’s voice was one of the things that calmed his nerves that almost always popped when he was around others. “Thanks.” Leiv was soon to snicker as pure shock moved on the face of the elders. Relaxing even more, the prince wanted to move a hand to touch Jarred’s cheek which was almost centimeters away from his own. Though, he didn’t move that hand, no, he stood there still and took in a deep breath before getting control over his lungs again. His heart hammering softly inside his ribcage and it took a bit longer for him to calm himself. Jarred always came at the times when he wanted to escape from this place. Sure, he knew well that the bodyguard could simply read his mind…but it didn’t change the fact that he was comfortable around him. His eyes flickered back as Jarred spoke again and actually pointed to an empty gazebo… Leiv quickly became interested in the fact that his friend wanted to take him there, but he set the thought aside and nodded his head. “Sure. Its fine with me!” Leiv let his cheerful, playful tone come out and smiled, but didn’t move an inch.

For Leiv And show me where you run to It wasn't that he felt uncomfortable amongst the mass of evening wear attire and sting quartet music weaving through the manor's spacious rooms, it was just that he hated the close proximity, the neverending pleasantries he refused to take part of, the stuffy attitude of the party itself. His head was filled with snippets of the partygoer's inner thoughts, almost all of which either involving a catty remark about a spotted acquaintance's outfit or an impatient question as to where the people who mean something to the media had gotten to. As horrendous as the party was turning out to be to the dark-haired bodyguard, he felt a wave of relief wash over him when he'd spotted Leiv. The small prince was the only one there that could make the pink puffery of the evening seem bearable, the only one that Jarred had wanted to find and the sole reason he'd even bothered showing up for the party at all. A soft chuckle escaped him as his icy eyes flickered to the shocked faces of the festively-clad elder women, their clutch purses gripped between gloved hands. The thought of further fueling their horror crossed his mind, a single hand trailed down the boy's arm would probably reap amusing results, but he willed himself to remain where he was. Leiv's voice hit his ears more smoothly than any melody ever could, his breath catching before he exhaled slowly, his whole body relaxing. No matter the time or place, Leiv never failed to have the same effect on him time and time again. The dark-haired prince was the only person Jarred felt he could truly trust, and though he fought ever letting on, he sought out Leiv for comfort.
His smile widened as Leiv's cheerful voice cut across the white noise of small talk, and he flashed the still shocked group of women a smirk as he nodded his head towards them slightly. Ladies.. He ignored the guffaw from one of the ladies dressed in a white floor-length skirt and jacket, chuckling to himself as he lightly grabbed Leiv's arm and led him into the shadowed quiet of the gazebo. He tried to ignore the small voice intent on reminding him of his surroundings, the quiet setting, the empty gazebo, the surrounding rose gardens brimming with velvety red flowers. As much as he wanted to push the thought away, he couldn't help but be aware of how romantic everyone would think that particular spot was. He'd pulled Leiv out there because it'd seemed quiet, not comprehending what he might be accidentally implying. Not that said reason didn't have a tiny bit to do with it. The gazebo was vacant, as he'd expected, and he cleared his throat before focusing his gaze on Leiv's features. Well, I see you don't waste time when it comes to scoring girls.. he teased, smiling lopsidedly at the boy as he ran a hand through his blue-streaked hair. A silence fell over the two as he struggled to try and articulate something halfway meaningful to say. There were a lot of things Jarred was certainly not; meaningful or even halfway romantic weren't always in his abilities. Yeah.. So.. Happy Birthday Leiv. His tone softened with every word, and he withdrew his hand from the pocket before extending the small box to Leiv, shrugging slightly. And no returning it, I'll push your butt into that rose bush if you try, he chuckled, his voice returning to it's usual teasing tone.

FOR KAI:Face it- I'm a klutz. Alex walked around the perimeter of the party, a slight frown forming on her face as she noticed the torn-down banners and empty glasses scattered here and there. She was going around, doing the best she could to remain dignified as she balanced empty glasses on a tray, some napkins crumpled up alongside them. She passed the kitchen and gratefully allowed one of the other workers to empty her arms for her. It was only when she was heading out the door and back to the party that Alex heard the crash of plates and saw a bob-tailed cat eating food off of the table. Running to get her dustpan and broom, Alex took a piece of ham off of one of the kitchen trays being sent out and wrapped it in a handkerchief. She had quite a soft spot for animals, you could say. Alex moved through the crowd as gracefully as the klutz could in her red dress. She had decided against wearing white- if she had spilled something on her dress, she would look disgraceful. As she approached the cat, however, she took out her handkerchief with the stolen piece of ham and placed it in front of the creature's nose. "Whatever you do, try not to eat the pastries! Those took hours to make, you know!" She whispered, bending down to sweep up the mess. The effort to clean was ruined however, as she attempted to stand up and hit her forehead on the table, spilling the contents of the dustpan and landing flat on her bum. She muttered words fouler than any sailor would dare say as she fixed her mess, occasionally muttering the words "damn dress" or "idiotic pastries!" or such. Mostly, she was angry that she had done what she did while at the party. Then again, it wouldn't have been much different from any other year- Alex was quite known for her mishaps.

For; Hyde & Alex
Kai had defiantly hit the jackpot by coming here. This place was so loaded with food, Best food I've had for awhile. For the past few weeks she'd mostly been hunting; mice, rats, a bird or two, and if she was lucky a rabbit. She really didn't mind having a pure carnivore diet, but... She did miss having cream. Anything with milk was her one true weakness; as she clearly showed now by digging herself into the ice cream. Her head popped up as rather tall, out of place person suggested it'd be better with thumbs. Heh, yeah right, this works just fine for me, she thought, turning her attention back to the dessert. A few moments later another sound came to her; this was meant for her, for it was spoke at a level where humans could not hear. Though she only responded with a flick of her ear; Yeah, yeah.
Is that... Kai lifted her head and gave a quick sniff; oh this was defiantly her lucky night. The scent of ham slowly drifted to her little cat nose, making her mouth water slightly. As the girl spoke, she nodded her head; Yeah, yeah. Just give me the ham. As soon as the meat was placed in front of her, it quickly disappeared down her throat. She gave a small purr of thanks to the girl, but amusement filled her eyes as she hit her head and fell on her rump. Dogs are so uncoordinated, she thought with a small chuckle as she returned her attention to the desserts that laid in front of her.
Hmm, I wonder what I should try next... Maybe I'll go with... slowly her paw reached out to grab a pastry. She was about to hook it with a crafty paw when something lifted her off of the table, "Oye, what the hell?!" She began flailing her limbs around, trying to get lose, "Put me down, damn it!" After while she gave up and laid limply in Hyde's arm; a scowl placed upon her face. "And what if I'm not," she growled; finally deciding to answer his question.
(This was how I could fit eveyone in the best XD)
